My name is Daniele De Marchi, I work in the Industrial Automation business.
I spend my free time on telecommunications systems and cyber security, in particular about ICS systems (Industrial Control Systems).

I have more than 20 years of experience in industrial automation during which I have programmed various PLC, HMI, SCADA systems for customers in different countries.

I am a certified ISA / IEC 62443 professional.
In my free time I do research on the cyber security of ICS (Industrial Control Systems) and write some concept malware for the same purpose.

At the beginning of my career my role was Project Manager (GEA Pavan, Simec SpA), after that I did support/training for clients in North-East Italy (Pro-face).
My last roles were End User Key Account Italy (Pro-face), Area Manager (Pro-face), OEM Business in Schneider Electric and, currently, End User Business in Siemens.

Despite this career, I consider myself an “atypical” salesman because writing software is still one of the things I love to do.
I do my best when all my skills are mixed: communication, programming of ICS and IT, networking, cyber security, electronics, …

I write software in various IEC61131 industrial automation languages, as well as many IT-specific languages including C, C++, python, and many scripting forms.
My skill count is very high and this is not the right place to make useless lists; I can summarize them by talking about the fields of electronics, information technology, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.

You can find some code examples I wrote many years ago here:

Sources related to penetration tests, concept malware, etc, will not be published or distributed.

I guess a site with WordPress is the last thing you expected, right? So far I have always written pages in pure HTML, but I was on vacation post-covid19 with my lap and I decided to dedicate not more than 30min to the creation of this site.
After reading about WP on social media, I decided to see what it is capable to do … and here’s how it’s landed here.

If you are wondering what 386 means, you must know that among my friends I was the first to have a 32bit system and thanks to this processor I got to know linux in ’94.
Before 386 I programmed the various VIC20, C64, Z80, 8086/88.

You can reach me in the various social networks, but you should know that:

  • Facebook is offlimits. I avoid the friendships given to anyone and the ones that exists are reviewed from time to time.
  • Linkedin is the right place to contact me.
  • I have a Twitter account but the “noise” of messages is very high and the risk of losing important messages exists.
